About the course
This in-person 2 day course equips massage therapists with simple and powerful tools to address the nervous system directly. Understand the stress response, pain science fundamentals, cranial nerves, sensory systems and how sensory input can be used to create safety in the body. Learn specific massage techniques for the vagus and trigeminal nerves and tools for in treatment or homecare that can shift the entire system toward safety. This course is the perfect next step after taking a trauma-informed course. It's engaging, practical, and evidence-based. Address physical symptoms of stress, mental health conditions and chronic pain while staying in scope. Treat complexity with clarity and confidence.
About Me:
I’m Alanna. I’m a massage therapist, educator, and unapologetic nervous system nerd. I started Salience because our profession deserves education that’s evidence-based and human — clear enough to apply tomorrow, but flexible enough to honour the messy, complex reality of working with actual people. Learning about pain and the nervous system doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I’m here to bring some clarity and simplicity to the process and leave you feeling confident.
